There are similarities found in meningiomas, which are the most common type of brain tumor in both humans and dogs,
according to a study that was published earlier this week in the scientific journal Acta Neuropathologica.
The study was conducted by researchers from the Texas A&M School of Veterinary
Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS), Baylor College of Medicine, and Texas Children's Hospital.
He continued by saying, "In addition to that, it affords the possibility of developing
and researching novel treatments that are applicable to both patients and canines."
The discovery that naturally occurring canine tumors closely resemble their human counterparts opens numerous avenues
